1. Those desiring to be baptized in water should repent of their sins.

2. The candidate is assisted by a church officer of the same gender to get changed in
suitable baptism clothes.

3. The candidate is then escorted to sit in the front of the church. Romans 6:1-6 is read
in their hearing after which they are encouraged by an officer about the decision
they have made to be baptized.

4. Candidate should be informed that they are being baptized in the NAME OF JESUS
CHRIST ………………………….according to Acts 2:38

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of
Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

5. Prayer is then offered up by an officer on behalf of the candidate and the baptizer.

6. The candidate is then escorted to the pool and is asked to repeat their vow as
instructed by the baptizer.
“ I __________________________ (Candidate name is inserted here) hereby raise my
right hand, making a solemn declaration that I have left the world and its pleasures
and is willing to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remissions of my sins
and to follow Jesus to the end.”

7. The baptizer now baptize the candidate repeating these words, “ And now upon the
confession of your faith I now baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission
of your sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

8. The candidate is then escorted back to get changed by an officer of the same
gender.

9. A baptismal certificate should be given to the candidate as early as possible.
