Walter G. McKoy

Bishop Walter G. McKoy entered into ministry in February 1975. Through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, he became an ordained Elder of the Church of Jesus Christ and moved up the ministerial ladder rapidly. Bishop McKoy was appointed to the office of General Secretary of the Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic) and has currently held the office the longest. In 1987, the church in Englewood was officially dedicated as a branch of The Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic) with Bishop Walter G. McKoy as the pastor. In July 1990, he was called to the office of Overseer with his designated area being New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana. In September 2003, he was consecrated to the office of Bishop. On July 2011 he was installed as the Presiding Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic). Today the CJC organization has grown to thousands of people across over 90 locations in the world.

Bishop Walter G McKoy is a blessed husband, father of three and loving grandfather.

Bishop Walter G. McKoy has several goals including the expansion of his local leadership training. His goal is to make this into an International summit on a yearly cadence. In the coming years, he will start an Adult Education Learning Center within his local assembly, to aid minorities to achieve their GED and empower them with basic computer skills. As well as, air a television broadcast to reach the nation. He strongly believes that it is indeed the end of time and the gospel of the kingdom must be heard. His goal is to continue to impact the lives of his congregation and members of his community. His motto continues to be “Making a Difference.”
